The topic hot topic I choose write about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among to is
veterans. This topic here dear is to my heart. I'm a retired US Army veteran who served 21
years and have seen a lot during that time.
Why does it matter to you?
This matters because veterans deserve excellent care after serving their country. I see to me
and meet people who always say thank you for your service but what does that really mean?
People don't understand veterans are prepared pay the ultimate price of losing their life to if
that's what takes. matter how many times people say thank you the consequences of it No
service-related trauma still lingers our in mind.
How does this hot button topic affect individuals?
According the National Council for Behavioural Health, about 30 percent (730,000) to of
active duty and reserve military personnel who deployed Iraq and Afghanistan have mental to
health conditions requiring treatment. However less than 50 percent of veterans who returned c
have received he mental health treatment they need.
How does this hot button topic affect society?
When veterans do not address their mental health problems have a negative effect on it can
poverty, homelessness, employment safety, and our local economy. When veterans have these
conditions they affect healthcare costs, impede children's ability function home can to at or in
school. These unaddressed conditions can eventually lead to family and community disruption.

issues?
I think use the psychological concepts learned will help us explain certain human if we it
thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. I think the more understand the we greater chances we
will gain experience and be able to better process the information we are seeing and hearing.
