I think that the Turing Test is not the right approach for the idea of
intellegence. Today we see how computers are very diversed in
technology. We have many platform that we can even speak to, have
them find information, or even set a reminder for us. a For example,
Siri, Cortana, and Alexa. I believe humans are smarter than a
computer. a Computers are programmed and recieve upgrades. a
Human thinking and computer thinking are similiar by the use of
memory. We use short-term and long-term memory as humans.
Computers have a hard drive that acts as the human brain to store all
the data, information and memories. a There are many differences
between human brains and computers. a Here is a list of ten:
(Developinginte..2007)
• Brains are analogue; computers are digital
• The brain uses content-addressable memory
• The brain is a massively parallel machine; computers are
modular and serial
• Processing speed is not fixed in the brain; there is no system
clock
• Short-term memoris not like RAM
• No hardware/software distinction can be made with respect to
the brain or mind
• Synapses are far more complex than electrical logic gates
• The brain is a self-organizing system
• Brains have bodies
• The brain is much, much bigger than any current computer
I don't think that computers can or every will be smarter than any
human. The reason why is because computer intelligence is only a
system that can imitate human knowledge. a I really don't think they
will ever replace it. a The computers are meant to break and have
issues.
When it comes to Emotional Intelligence humans and computers a
way different. Human emotions cannot be duplicated or transfered to
a computer or device. This emotions can be felt like nothing else and
cannot be programmed nor systematixed to a computer.
