If I were the Mayor of Rhode Island's capital, Providence, The company that I would
endorse relocating to my city is Amazon. Amazon would be a good prospect for the community,
trickling down into the state. Amazon's success since its inception has been meteoric, ranging
from its stock prices, profits, number of jobs available, and sales. "Amazon is always trying to
improve technology and automate processes to serve customers better." (About Amazon, n.d.).
Providence is a vastly growing city, always seeking new economic growth and development
opportunities. We are actively courting new companies to help boost its tax base. Four businesses
headquartered in Rhode Island are included in this year's Fortune 500. "CVS Health, Textron,
United Natural Foods, and Citizens Financial Group are just a few of the businesses that have
found success in the state. Because of the city's robust economy, most local companies are
thriving" (RI,n.d.).
