●In your initial post, briefly introduce yourself to your peers. Along with your
introduction, share your career goals, such as the type of company you hope
to work for or the job role that you seek.
●Next, consider the examples of "marketing gone wrong" that you read about
in the module resources, and answer the following question: How can
learning about the target market before making any marketing plans help to
avoid these kinds of failures? Be as specific as possible.
●Now, think about the marketing you have seen or heard for breakfast foods.
Name a specific breakfast food you recently purchased and what it was about
that product's marketing that drew you in. For example, was it the
packaging, the health benefits, or even the price?
Hello! My name is Madilyn Hall, I am 21 and just moved to the heart of Austin
Texas (the new LA lol). I am blessed to be currently working for a company as
their social media manager and marketer before grad!! After I earn my degree I
hope to work with high volume influencers, behind the scenes documenting their
life, scheduling their posts, and managing all that social media entails! Another
career path id love to follow is social media management & content creation for
companies that work in holistic healing which I am currently enduring and am
passionate about.
Finding your target market is CRUCIAL, how are you suppose to promote, place,
and price if you don't even know who your selling too? From first hand experience
in running ad campaigns, I have failed and I have succeeded.. All due to WHO was
seeing my ads and how relevant my ads were to those peoples lives. Learning your
target market will narrow down all of the 4 p's so that whatever your doing will be
more direct and successful. The example provided by Volkswagen stood out due to
the lack of narrowing down what financial class they wanted to target to buy their
vehicles.
The most recent breakfast food I have purchased was a yogurt bowl which is
similar to an acai bowl. The fresh fruit, granola, honey, chia seeds, and the amazing
cashew yogurt substitute instead of dairy yogurt really caught my eye and my
tastebuds! The fresh look, the promoted health benefits with the option to add
"protein and energy" made this decision easier. This was priced higher than other
breakfast foods but I was convinced due to the fresh produce and advertised quality
of the food!
