In general, I try not to get hung up on "brand" names, but of course, we all have our picks in
the kitchen. Some of my normal kitchen picks or top of mind brands are Lipton Tea, Heinz
ketchup and mustard, Special K, and Bisquik. I will refuse to use any other products, besides
the one listed. Besides the kitchen brands, my favorite clothing brand is Orvis. Their brand
promise is: We live to develop and share our equipment, apparel, and expertise to outfit
deeper connections and authentic experiences in the outdoors for a more inspired life. I
started wearing Orvis products as a young teenager and they never fail putting out quality
products. As a man that enjoys the outdoors, but work in a corporate environment, this brand
can give clothing that fits my lifestyle. As described above, majority of my pants, shirts,
shorts, vests, jackets come from Orvis, but not all of my clothing.
When making any kind of purchase, I always look at price, quality, and any potential Return
on Investment. When buying Orvis, I know their handpicked peruvian cotton is going to last a
long time, so I do not mind spending a little extra.
Brand means to me something more than just buying something. It goes deeper than just a
typical buy at a store, it could be a lifestyle impact or something you follow and buy because
of their impacts on society. A brand goes beyond just their products in my mind, they deliver
impacts into others lives. Brands can impact my spending decisions based on what they may
or may not do. If they do something I like, I might be more influenced to buy what they are
selling and vice versa.
My favorite brand is Apple, this is because they make technology cool. I believe phones were
more of tools before Apple got involved in them, now phones, tablets and laptops are a status
symbol. Who and what you have might be a sort of status in your community. Those who
own Apple products might be deemed to have higher status since they are more expensive.
They made technology cool along with becoming a luxury type brand. The brand makes their
products cool and seem luxurious, which is what makes me want to buy them so I can keep
some sort of status amongst others. Apple's brand promise is the security for their clients
information. They take selling your information and keeping your information secretly, very
seriously. They do not want to dip in an age where buying technology sometimes leads to you
and your information being exposed. Apple wants to stay ahead here and be upfront with the
consumer and let them know their information is safe as long as you are using an Apple
product. I have an emotional connection to the brand because i believe it keeps my status up
everytime i buy a new product from Apple. When considering my new laptop purchase back
in December, Apple was the only company on my mind. I know they build computers better
than anyone else out on the market and again, owning an Apple laptop is more or less of a
status symbol because people know how expensive they can get. Brands are a very important
part of making purchases on a daily basis. When I go to buy something I tend to lean towards
the brands that I like and have trust in. This matters especially online when you can't
physically see a product. You want to know what you have before you buy it so you rely on a
brand name to deliver a high standard.
My favorite brand would probably be adidas because I buy a lot of the soccer gear,
streetwear/loungewear, and shoes. I don't think they necessarily have a brand promise but one
brand I can think of that does is Patagonia. Patagonia has made it clear that their mission is to
use recycled & sustainable materials when making all of their products. All jackets, vests,
shirts, etc. are made from those materials with the mission to reduce carbon emissions and
waste around the world.
When it comes to adidas I like the products that they come out with year to year. Some of the
early cleats and soccer jerseys I do cherish because they provide a sense of nostalgia for me.
But generally I just like what they have, how it fits, and the styles they come out with every
season. Also, it's very affordable compared to other brands that overcharge simply just to
overcharge.
For certain things I do look to my favorite brands first but for others I do not. When it comes
to clothing I will buy certain items if they are just plain black but when it comes to jackets or
shoes I tend to lean towards a brand I like more often than not. b A brand use to represent many
different components such as quality, status, and an individual's overall image, however in
today's environment it can represent social stance, values, and beliefs, as the brands
reputation is concluded to reflect the buyers. Brands impact my spending through quality, as I
would rather have one good product with a life cycle of 6years+ that may retain some value
than 10 average or low-quality products with a life cycle of a couple months to a year with no
value.
One of my favorite brands is Apple. I have the iPhone, iWatch, Apple Tv and Air pods for my
personal use and my iPad, MacBook, and Apple Magic Keyboard for school and work. Two
things that resonates with me regarding Apple is quality and customer service, which is
different than their “brand promise” “Think different, e.g., creating products based on seeing
the world a little differently, and their promise to inspire their customers to do the same”
(Victory, 2021). Based on Apple’s customer care, I would identify an emotional connection
of trust to their products as I trust they will provide quality products and when or if this is not
the case, they will rectify the wrong by fixing or replacing said product.
In addition, when I am shopping for products, I typically know what brand I am looking for
before I make the purchase and will search for the brand if certain stores are out. For instance,
when I am looking to purchase household items, I automatically think Gain Original Scent
products, and if a store is sold out of original scent due to a sale or in our current market due
to shortages, I will visit other stores until I locate the specific item.
For me, a brand is an aspect that differentiates the services and products of one company from
others in the market. The brand is a representation of a company. It can be a name, design,
logo, symbol, or even a term that instantly reminds a person of a particular company. Brands
have a significant impact on my spending decisions in a number of ways. For instance, brands
play an important role in creating aspirations. Even though my near and dear ones would
convince me to buy a product from another brand at a cheaper price, I would prefer buying
from the brand that I like. It affects my purchasing intention also. Suppose, there are two
products with the same performance and features. I would always go for the branded product
only
One of my favorite brands is Samsung. It is one of the most popular technology brands that
produce a number of products such as mobile phones, computers, smartwatches, laptops,
home appliances, and more.
When making a purchase decision, the brand matters to me a lot. I only purchase a product on
the basis of brand. There are a number of factors that resonate with me about Samsung. One
of the factors is the customer experience that Samsung provides. All the devices developed by
the brand are focused on enhancing the experience of the customers. It keeps innovating its
products in order to enhance the overall customer experience (Ali & Anwar, 2021). The brand
cares about the needs and requirements of the customers. Another factor that resonates with
me about Samsung is the affordability aspect. They offer their products at a wide range of
prices to ensure that different groups of customers can easily afford the products.
Yes, Samsung has made a brand promise. The promise of the brand is that it will perform in a
responsible manner as a global, leading company.
Yes, I have a strong emotional connection with the brand Samsung. I really trust the brand as
well as all its products. I believe that Samsung understands the needs of its customers and
accordingly develops the right products. I feel that the brand offers the best quality products
and will not break the trust of its customers. I also respect the efforts of the brand to make the
lives of people better.
When considering a purchase, I do look for my favorite brand first. An example of a brand
that is always on the top of my mind is Reebok.
I like to think as myself as someone who doesn't really get caught up on "brand" I feel like it's
something cute or something I need I'll buy it and it doesn't necessarily have to be a big
named brand. For some brands make a huge impact on spending decisions whether it's a car,
handbag, shoes, appliances etc. I can remember when me & my husband built our home our
appliances where Whirlpool and my husband was so happy for him that is a top appliance
brand and I remember him saying thank goodness they didn't give us Samsung appliances
because he had heard horror stories about defects and issues with them.
When I think of my favorite brand, I'd have to say that Apple is one of favorite brands, in my
home we all have iPhones, Apple Watches, Macbooks, & iPads. The quality of the products
are great I've had my MacBook Pro since 2016 and haven't one issue with it, no viruses or
systems errors just to same a few. The iOS system is easy to navigate for me. When it comes
to making a new purchase with Apple I know that I setup an appointment and go into the store
and be taken care of, or if it's something we may need tech support on we can just chat
directly from the Apple app on our phones.
I had to look up Apple brand promise and found "Think Different"- Apple’s brand promise is
two-sided–their guarantee to create products based on seeing the world a little differently, and
their promise to inspire their customers to do the same.
I think I do have an emotional connection to Apple I've been a customer since iPhone 4 came
out, I know that the products I purchase are going to last for me Apple is a trusted brand
because I know I'm going to get the latest technology, & style. I've tried to switch to a
Samsung phone tried it out for 2 weeks and went back to the iPhone. The same goes for
different types of laptops prior to me getting my Macbook I had HP laptop & Dell and both
within 2 year window started to have issues. I honestly think it's all in a person preference for
some people prefer Samsung phones over iPhones because they like the android operating
system.
When I'm shopping for shoes a top brand for is Aldo I can always find a good comfortable &
quality shoe from there I typically shop for both causal, wedges or heels just depends if I'm
looking for something for a special occasion or just shopping just because but I always find
what I'm looking for and I know that I'm going to get my money worth out of the purchase.
