Smart Cars
Apple and Google offer a telematics software that can be connected
to the cars dashboard for infotainment. Adding this service to our
vehicles will allow our customers to use they cellphone apps such as
the GPS, music streaming and the weather without having to touch
their phone once. Many competitors such as Ford and BMW have
already begun adding this feature to their newer models. (Taumar,
2015)

Pre-Collision Technology
Within the Chief Technology Officer Brief , our CTO mentioned that
some of our models currently have OnStar connectivity to detect
accidents and alert first responders. We can take this system and
enhance it with Pre-collision technology. This technology would assist
in detecting pedestrians, driver blind spots and if it sense the driver
is not paying attention it will send an alert that if there is no response
to, the vehicle will apply the breaks. This is an excellent safety
feature that I believe will catch the eye of todays busy/on the go
parent.

Incremental Innovations
Incremental Innovations
Incremental Innovation can be defined as a series of small
improvements made to a company's existing products or services.
(Carleton, 2019)
The Pre-collision technology would be a form on incremental
innovation because we wouldn’t need to create a completely new
product, we would be updating and revamping our current Onstar
app. Saving money and attracting customers to a service they’ve
already been used to using.

Discontinuous Innovations
Discontinuous Innovations
Discontinuous innovation is when a new product is launched;
causing a change in consumption habits. (Kishore, 2018)
The Smart car feature could require an entire new models simply
because a lot of the older vehicles are not equipped with the
touch screens needed to access the app. This would take a longer
period and more resources to complete but would be worth it in
the long run. This is a luxury that consumers are currently
searching for and can find in other competitors, lets give our
people what they need before they do so.

Technological Trajectories
Technological Trajectories
Scale intensive
One of the typical core products for this type of trajectory would
be Automobiles, our current market. Its position would be cost
effective and safe complex products and processing. Something that
would work for our company due to our products being newly
introduced to the IoTs, we need something that will not break the
bank but will be effective and well responded by our consumers.
Making the path Incremental integration of new knowledge. Its
process would include diffusion of best practice in design,
production and distribution. We would need to revamp our older
designs in order to remain cost efficient.
