This was great and interesting term, this term had to be the most
challenging time at work, school, and home. Yet, staying professional
and using the proper channels, I was able to put out all the crazy
fires. The course gave me food for thought about changing the
workplace cultural and being more creative with problem solving.
The scenario company chose discontinuous strategy for Milestone
One. The need to choose discontinuous strategy was because the
company was lagging in innovation of IoT technology and advancing
sensor for connected vehicles. In a situation such as the scenario
company, it is important to move quickly to advance in market
shares.
The scenario company selected the stage-gate process in Milestone
Two, to manage the innovation of IoT technology. The reason in
selecting the stage-gate process was because of the complexity of
the products. The scenario company is also partnering with Waymo
to speed up the process and advance the company to having an
autonomous vehicle line.
The scenario company was giving the recommendation of keeping
the COEs intact to produce incremental vehicle line and future
completed products and services. The scenario company was to
expand the R&D department with an Innovation Sector that has
partnered with Waymo company. This new sector for innovation was
awarded a grant by U.S. Department of Transportation, the
Automated Driving Systems (ADS) grant (U.S. Department of
Transportation, 2021). This Innovation Sector is part of a pilot
program model after the M3 company and is to utilize Ekvall’s 10
creative climate dimensions. In making this recommendation the
scenario company should have a more creativity, productive, and
profitable company.
