Like yourself, I had to recognize my leadership style and have begun to be deliberate in
improving some of the areas in which I need to improve. Only because of this lesson was I able
to perform some self-reflection and understand that I lacked most of the attributes that I would
desire in my leaders. I demand certain talents from my bosses but was unaware that if I were in
their place, I would lack these same qualities. Hearing input from others, particularly from
someone we trust and who will be honest with us, may be beneficial. This part of the course was
when I had to admit that I really needed to make improvements and stop living in denial of what
type of leadership style I would have.
The usage of technology has expanded in my profession as well, and in order to remain relevant,
one must be prepared to adapt and embrace changes. I've been opposed to some of the changes
that have been done, but they have made my job simpler. Having been in the workforce for many
years, I have always seen technical advancements as a substitute that will only take the place of
human occupations. But, as you indicated, it does assist to enhance how we work and how
leaders function. Like you, I want to master more technology so that I may be more confident in
completing duties and eager to take on new ones.
