Others would follow me as a leader because of my clear vision, self-belief, and
confidence. While serving as a leader, I would make sure to provide a clear picture of my vision to
others so that they would be able to understand it and work along with me towards it.
Furthermore, I would ensure that I would deeply listen to the views and opinions of others while
sharing my vision. Such a step would be extremely crucial as the subordinates would feel valued,
and they would be encouraged to actively participate in diverse activities. My self-belief and
confidence would also play an integral role in instilling confidence in others. It would make them
feel secure to follow the direction that I show to reach the organizational goals and objectives.
Self-belief and confidence have been identified as important leadership traits that positively
influence others (Axelrod, 2017).
Impact
I would motivate others to pursue the vision that I have outlined and work enthusiastically
towards it on their own by giving them enough flexibility. For instance, I would encourage them
to think out of the box and find new and innovative solutions to problems. By adopting such an
approach, the employees would get the opportunity to think and act in a creative manner in the
organizational setting. The experience and insight that they would get while pursuing the shared
vision would act as the driving force for them. They would be motivated to work along with me,
to pursue the vision that I have laid down, as they would get the opportunity to learn and grow as
professionals. Researchers Bengtsson and Teleman (2019) have stated that when individuals
learn, their performance increases (Bengtsson & Teleman, 2019). Thus, in the business context,
the flexible approach and learning opportunity would serve as key motivators for employees to
enthusiastically pursue the shared vision.

Greatest asset as a leader – ‘Teamwork is the greatest asset as it serves as the pathway to
establish strong relationships and association with others. It acts as a binding element and makes
sure that there exists a connection with each of the members that form a part of a group. This area
of strength influences the ability of the entire team to function in a cohesive manner to accomplish
the intended results (Mughal & Iraqi, 2020).’
I agree with the response that has been provided as I personally believe that I give high
priority to teamwork and cooperation. While working with others on a project or task, I make sure
that there is proper cooperation as well as coordination among all the team members so that each
of the members can contribute towards the assigned task. There are also instances when I go out
of my way to encourage others to actively participate in the team setting so that their inputs and
views could be heard and taken into consideration as a team. I always give priority to establishing
relationships with others while working with them so that a healthy knowledge-sharing network
can be established. I could use teamwork skills while serving as a leader.
