Desired Future State—Where Would You Like to Be?
Create a goal to address each focus area you’ve identified within the next two years, and describe
the impact to the entire organization.
1. Employee recognition – We need to reward and recognize employees by creating an
evaluation cycle using metrics so we have a consistent system in place. Employee will
have better knowledge on what will be evaluated so employees stay focus to surpass
expectations. Improvement in these areas should be an 8% to 9% improvement.
2. Leadership image – This area in should increase more than a 10% on the next survey.
Leadership should focus on promoting a greater sense of emotional intelligence and
become inspiring leaders.
3. Employee job satisfaction – Leadership will have to focus on assuring that employees are
happy in their role within the company. Their overall experience in their day to day
responsibilities have to give them a sense of fulfillment. This area should increase a 5%
to 6% on the next survey.
Identified Gaps—Obstacles
A few obstacles that can impact our journey to the aspiring goals can be:
1. Change of management or realignment – Departments can be realigned to restructure the
company to match new market segments.
2. Change of leadership style – Company can change their mission statement and change
the way they do business. Some companies implement a new approach on the way they
do things to comply with a new law or new culture.
Goal Revision
The revision of the focus areas should be half way to the next survey to assure that implemented
changes are leading to the desired direction. That will give time to make necessary change to get
aligned towards our goal.
A Way Forward—Action
The company should maintain an encouraging approach to these new adjustments making sure
that everyone involved are involved and educated on what needs to be accomplished.t text.
