For this week’s assignment I chose the Cybersecurity Specialist
career. This role is situated after network engineers/architects design
and implement a network. The responsibility of the Cybersecurity
Specialist is to monitor the network for malicious activity or potential
threats and to the best ability prevent these acts. Some of the
responsibilities of this position are to monitor networks for abnormal
activity, investigate breaches and document them when they happen,
and to keep up on the latest threats and technology. This isn't an
exhaustive list, but more aimed at the entry level position
responsibilities.
