I have honestly done a fair amount of research on different jobs,
responsibility types, certifications, etc. and I have to say that trying
to figure out exactly what I want to do when I am making a career
change has not been the easiest of paths. Computers has always
been a hobby of mine from building my own systems to when I was
fourteen, I was learning HTML and Java, working for my local ISP
designing webpages. Now that I am making a move to start a new
career from working as a Paramedic for the past 20 years, I knew
with everything that is going on today Cybersecurity was going to be
my focus. What I found however is that Cybersecurity is such a
broad term for what many diverse types of roles and responsibilities
are, and there needs to be some serious base level of knowledge.
So as with any career I needed to determine a starting point.
