A capital budget proposal has been made for Venice Family Clinic so that it will be able to
effectively respond to the industry trends and accomplish its mission and strategic goals. In the
proposal, a capital budget asset has been selected whose cost is over $ 5000 and whose estimated
useful life is five years. The item that has been chosen is a healthcare ambulance with an in-built
care system to deliver emergency services on the road. Some of the key medical equipment that
will be integrated into the vehicle are an oxygen cylinder, portable and electronic suction pump
facility, monitor, syringe pump, pulse oximeter, portable handheld glucometer, and automated
external defibrillator. By including such equipment in the ambulance, it will be possible for the
healthcare team to promptly respond to medical situations, instead of waiting to reach the clinic
for offering treatment to patients.
The rationale for purchasing the specific healthcare ambulance, which has an in-built care
system, is to enable the healthcare staff to effectively respond to the diverse healthcare needs of
the community members. As people have diverse healthcare needs, many hospitals and healthcare
facilities have been taking steps to navigate the challenges of linking the community and clinical
services to improve the health outcome of vulnerable individuals in the long run (Addressing
social determinants of health - deloitte us, 2021). The capital budget item has been chosen so that
Venice Family Clinic will be able to offer comprehensive and top-quality healthcare solutions
even by using the facilities that have been integrated into its ambulance.
The new ambulance of the clinic will contribute to the revenue generation capacity of the
Venice Family Clinic by ensuring that timely and quality healthcare solutions are provided to sick
individuals within the city. The price that will be charged for the new integrated ambulance will
be higher as compared to the normal ambulance vans, and it will contribute to higher income for
the clinic. The medical facilities that will be available in the ambulance will play a major role in

ensuring that the capital asset item contributes to higher income as well as better healthcare
services. It has been argued that emergency ambulances are the need of the hour in the evolving
and unpredictable healthcare domain of the 21st century (Lowthian et al., 2011). By integrating the
emergency ambulance service with the in-built care system in the healthcare services of Venice
Family Clinic, it will be possible to offer a better quality of care solutions. Thus, it can positively
influence its image in the community and persuade a greater number of community people
towards its new ambulance while looking for emergency healthcare solutions. The role of the
ambulance will be of paramount importance to improve the productivity of the clinic and offer
better quality care solutions to the people. It will also reduce the burden on healthcare staff that
work in the clinical facility because the work pressure will be divided and shared with the
professionals who are assigned to work on the road in the emergency ambulances of the Venice
Family Clinic.
