According to my basic assumption about human nature, we all yearn for
relationships with other people, animals, our belongings, and a sense of
fulfillment. Consistent throughout the week and across different therapy
session samples was the client's pursuit of happiness and connections.I
believe that as a civilization, we have become accustomed to interacting
with the people and objects in our life. One source of happiness is making
progress toward the goals one has set for themselves. When they accomplish
the goals, they have consciously and intuitively set for themselves, they feel
fulfilled.Thinking about what I think about people, cognitive behavioral
therapy and postmodern methods are the best ways to help people in my
sessions. Corey (2021) notes that the primary goal of cognitive behavioral
therapy is to assist patients in developing stronger interpersonal and self-
management skills. Customers who find it difficult to build meaningful
relationships in their life will really benefit from this. Clients who work on
their social and self-awareness abilities are less likely to hurt themselves and
more likely to have healthy relationships overall. People can set goals and
work through issues on their own with postmodern techniques, especially
purposeful therapy, which increases their sense of fulfillment. Near the end
of treatment, the client will be able to independently identify problems,
formulate goals, and find solutions.
