Baltimore and the Baltimore area get a bad rap. I was so glad to see
the depth of services that someone who needs them can use. These
range from government funded programs to local community
assistance programs, as well as Treatment Centers and Addiction
recovery programs. There is an epidemic of drug abuse in Baltimore
city and surrounding. I am a business administration major, but I want
to work in the business of helping people. I think I can use my
experience and knowledge to be a benefit and help my community a
better place. Here are 6 different organizations that I found that
caught my interest to work with upon completing my degree.
1. The Maryland Department of Human Services:

I found multiple opportunities through this website. I think it is a well-
organized hub that allows people to get the help they need. Working
in disability services now I was pleasantly surprised at the
accessibility of their website and the sheer breath of their services. I
think I could use my Business Administration skills as well as my
understanding of human services to make me want to inquire about
working in any of these positions. They would be very challenging,
but I think very rewarding as well.
