Citizens of a country and the government expect healthcare
providers to provide the best healthcare to their citizens no matter
what. However, this is not possible when the healthcare providers are
facing challenges in terms of facilities, infrastructure and
money. These are key necessities for provision of the best
services. So,shortages of such facilities makes hospitals provide
substandard services because they do not have the right
equipment. At times they are forced to make referrals.
As we know, acquiring medical equipment is difficult yet donors and
governments expect accountability from administrators. When they
are funded, they consider the most critical issue to solve first because
all cannot be handled at first. Also they have made citizens have a lot
of expectations from healthcare providers and therefore whenever
they seek such services they expect something extraordinary. This
poses a great challenge on the administrators.
