Historical Event
The French Civil Revolution is one of the most significant events in the history of
France and modern Europe. It is known as a great turning point in the modern era (Von
Guettner & Darius, 2015). e The French revolution is a significant event as it brought about
new conceptions as well as ideas in the realm of law, government, and politics (Shahid &
Hassan, 2019). The movement played an important role in bringing an end to monarchy
and feudalism. It also marked the introduction of the ideas of freedom and liberty for the
common people.
Secondary Sources
There are various secondary sources available that portray the different events and
happening of the French Revolution. One of the secondary resources that can be used for
conducting research about the historical event is ‘The French Revolution: Faith, Desire, and
Politics’ by Noah Shusterman. The availability of ample information relating to the event
makes it an appropriate source. It uncovers information relating to religion, gender, sex, and
faith and seeks to explore people’s lives during the French Revolution (Shusterman, 2021).
Another secondary source that could be used for the research is ‘The French
Revolution, 1789-1799’ by Peter McPhee (McPhee, 2001). The concise and reliable
information covered in the book makes it an appropriate source for research. It helps in
gaining knowledge about the origin as well as consequences of the French Revolution.
Primary Sources
There are various primary resources that can be used for the research work on
French Revolution. One of the key primary resources is The French Revolution and Human
Rights: A Brief Documentary History by Lynn Hunt. It is related to the secondary sources
used as it explores the issues relating to citizenship and rights during the French Revolution
(Hunt, 1996). e
Another primary research that can be used for the study of the French Civil Revolution is
‘The Miscellaneous Works’ by Sir James Mackintosh (Mackintosh, 2020). e It aptly captures
all the works and provides a deep understanding of France’s political life and how it
changed during the historical event. The first-hand observation obtained through this source
will help in understanding the dynamic change during the French Revolution better.
Research Question
On the basis of the study of the primary and secondary research data, the research
question that is designed is
How has French Revolution impacted the lives of the people in France?
The French Revolution brought about a huge change in the lives of the people in
France. It completely transformed the political as well as social structure of France. The
idea of liberty and equality were introduced in the lives of the people. The research
question will help in shedding light on the various aspects of the lives of people that
experienced change. It will uncover the details of how the life of people was before and
after the French Revolution.
Audience
The French Revolution is known as a significant historic movement for the entire
mankind. But the specific audience of this topic is the people interested in knowing more
about Europe and France in particular. It would also interest the people who have
previously experienced inequality and later were introduced to the terms such as equality,
liberty, as well as freedom.
Message
The target audience will easily be able to understand the principles and different
terminologies involved in the historical event of the French Civil Revolution. The message
will be tailored and crafted with the use of simple language in order to enable the audience
to understand the discrimination as well as equality existing in the social setting. As
inequality is present in different forms in society, the target audience can easily understand
and relate to the event better.
