Change is where an organization is trying to implement something
new. Managers and leaders are responsible for making changes in
many organizations. The change management strategies that I would
use to help address resistance from various stakeholders who attend
the town hall before I do anything I would take advantage of the
organizational development which will help me reflect on the
processes and revise them for improvement. The strategies that I will
use will be the organization development change agents functions
they encourage and facilitate change, the internal and external
change agents its role is to facilitate change processes by utilizing
reflective learning, helping people understand what the processes
mean, and considering and implementing plan action (Oachs &
Watters, 2016). I will also have a plan on how this will affect
everyone so having a meeting with every leader from each
department let them know the time line and what change will
involve. Setting up trainings for employees before the
implementation to reduce confusion and resistance. Ensuring
everyone that their current positions will stay the same because
many will be hesitated to change because most of the time a lot of
people worry that they will lose their jobs. The stakeholders that
should be included is everyone that works for the company. They all
should be included because they are the people that make the
organization and they understand better what goes on day in and day
out. Nowadays many of these leaders don't know everything from
the very bottom of the ladder in their own company. Including
everyone will make them feel that they matter and they are valued. If
they hear it through the grapevine or rumours the implementation
will fail and will delay and take longer than it should. Bottom line is
open communication, educate and involve all.
