The NEHEN network reported a data breach due to unauthorized
access to the network. Ways that HIE can protect against
unauthorized access is using authentication, meaning the user would
have to log in with specific credentials defined by the
organization. The common types of authentications include a
username or id along with a password or a pin number. However,
having a username and password is just one layer of protection, to
increase security adding a two-factor authentication process is
ideal. With a two-factor authentication the user not only enters the
username and password they must also enter a generated pin to
