The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Compliance Officer, and Data Protection
Officer (DPO) are three specialized jobs that have direct management for data protection and
legal compliance. The DPO controls data protection risks, maintains compliance with the laws
governing data protection, and serves as a point of contact for authorities and data subjects
(GDPR). They also organize employee development courses. The compliance officer makes
certain that the company abides by all applicable regulations, statutes, and company guidelines.
In addition to performing risk analyses and giving personnel with the appropriate training, they
are in charge of monitoring activities, developing and putting into effect compliance regulations,
and all of the aforementioned tasks. Senior executive who is in charge of protecting the
company's data assets is known as the CISO. In addition, they develop security policies and
processes and monitor security risks and regulatory compliance. The management of incident
response plans is under their purview (Kotur, 2018).
Since they guarantee that the company abides by legal requirements and industry
standards for protecting sensitive and private data, these jobs have near direct responsibility for
data security and access (Kotur 2018). Since they have access to all data, it is their duty to make
sure that only authorized users are given access. If the data is handled and controlled improperly,
serious data breaches may happen. Both the company and its clients might suffer from a breach.
Legislative criteria must be thoroughly understood by analysts in these roles. The data
protection rules that apply to their firm specifically must be thoroughly understood by them.
They ought to be able to recognize possible hazards in the data infrastructure and provide
solutions to address them. Data access restrictions, encryption, and secure data transmission
must all be understood by compliance and data protection analysts who need to be schooled in
