COBIT is the acronym for Control Objectives for Information and Related
Technology. The COBIT is an IT governance framework that was created by
the ISACA. In the current business landscape, this framework is extensively
used by enterprises across diverse industries to deploy effective risk
management practices relating to Information technology (IT) processes
(Simplilearn, 2022).
Managers that operate in the contemporary business landscape need to
have proper knowledge of the COBIT framework. It serves as a useful tool
that helps in bridging the critical gap between business risks, technical
issues, and control requirements. The application of the framework in the
organizational context can ensure control, quality, and reliability of
information systems. Even though there exists a diverse range of

the IT governance model that is adopted. The framework ensures there is a

monitoring the IT processes. The control objectives ensure that there exists
an exhaustive list of requirements that the management needs to consider
for effective IT control. Thus, COBIT acts as an integrated IT governance
