Dear Valued Guests,
With recent hotel cyber attacks involving other companies, Padgett
Beale felt the need to address and alleviate any concerns that you
may have. It is more important than ever to be transparent with you
about what the risks are and what is being done to mitigate these
risks. You, as the customer, are our first priority and we want to
ensure that we maintain your trust by keeping you informed and
protecting you and your information as much as possible.
When a cyber attack occurs, customer’s information and company
information is compromised. The type of data that can be
compromised are credit card information, email addresses, and
passwords. There has also been a report of customer’s being denied
access to their hotel rooms due to a cyber-attack. Padgett Beale
INC has implemented important measures to ensure that our
systems and your information are protected.
Our employees are information security certified. The certification
training is renewed quarterly to ensure they are up to date on risks
and mitigations. We have automated security updates and scanning
features, to ensure our systems are up to date and any attempted
attacks are addressed immediately. We also have the latest
technology to ensure that we have the best technology to prevent
any attacks and we are updating all POS systems to take chips
instead of a magnetic strip. This will reduce the risk of credit card
information being stolen via POS system. There is a mitigation plan
in place to protect you as much as possible in the event that a
breach does happen and you will be notified immediately so that you
are able to protect yourself from severe damage. Our efforts will
never stop to ensure that your information is safe and we as a family
will continue to fight against cyber security threats.
In conclusion, when a cyber attack occurs company and customer’s
sensitive information is at risk. Information that is lost can be, but
not limited to, user names, passwords, email addresses, and credit
card information. There are multiple security measures that are in
place to protect your information and the integrity of the company.
Our security measures will continue to improve and you as the
customer will always be first priority. If there are any questions or
concerns, please visit out website for FAQs and contact information.
Thank you for being a valued customer.
Sincerely,
Guest Relations.
