Reading this week's resource about the business model canvas, I
believe I can complete a few segments, customer segments,
customer relationships, value proposition, and channels. For this
project, the service that I will be adding is childcare in Target, similar
to how gyms have a childcare center while you work out. Some of
the segments that I still need to work on are key partnerships,
resources, and activities. I have some ideas about these three
segments, but I still need to do a little more research on how I could
create an external partnership with Target for a childcare service. I
was thinking of a non-profit organization like the YMCA.
Additionally, I have ideas about key resources and activities, such as
a dedicated space inside the stores and how to market this new
service.
The two segments that I have not addressed yet are cost structure
and revenue streams. These two segments are a little hard to
research since no other competitor offers this concept. I found a
store called Wegmans that used to have this set up in their store, but
they have gotten rid of it, so I intend to research more about this
store.
