The company I chose for my project is Logitech. They have a clear and concise position on DEI
set out. They are committed to creating an inclusive culture, enabling and supporting
underrepresented people, and changing the way they do business. A quote from their CEO
Bracken Darrel that highlights their policies is "As a humble, ‘always learning’ company, we
expect to be held accountable not just for our financial performance, but also for our
performance in contributing to a world that is fair for every person. Change can start with us. We
will address systemic discrimination and help assure equity within our company and model the
right actions for our industry and others." The actions I would take to ensure that a diverse,
inclusive, and equitable team is assembled for my project team would be to hire from a diverse
pool of employees to make sure that many different groups are represented and to hire based on
solely on merit and qualifications for the job.
Logitech has a project called Logicare that highlights their commitment to CSR. Their primary
points they highlight in this initiative are empowering our people, empowering local
communities, and leveraging skills and products. This initiative helps to boost the company's
image by showing that they are a good and strong company to have in a community. They have a
strong track record of giving back to the communities that they are a part of. This in turn helps to
increase their profitability by making them seem like a company that more people would want to
do business with. The service I am hoping to add is a subscription based service that provides
mousepads on a a trimonthly basis for subscribers. This service upholds the company's CSR
initiatives by being one that utilizes already in place processes and will help to boost the
company's profitability in the long run.
