A few of the segments of the business model canvas (BMC) that I believe I can complete
immediately are customer segments, customer relationships, and channels. These segments
are based around who our customers are and how we deliver our product to them. As a
business it is imperative that we know our customers and how/why they benefit from our
products and services.
The segments of the BMC that need more work are key partners and revenue streams. I need
to better define who my key partners are in the business. These can include vendors, suppliers,
and other companies (Ebinum, 2016). By having this information I’ll be better equipped to
understand who is going to help me deliver on my promises to my customers. Revenue
streams are important to understand how to price my products and/or services to appeal to the
customer and my bottom line. This is an area that I need to dive into so that I am better
equipped to make decisions as I move forward with my new service.
One segment that I had not yet considered are key resources. Key resources are physical items
needed to achieve the activities of daily business. I need to consider what exactly I will
physically need in order to offer my new service to our customers.
