I do not think there are too much regulations on business. In fact, I
think there should be additionally more stringent policies on minimum
wage and taxation for the largest corporations and their main
benefactors. If minimum wage increased at the same pace as the
standard cost of living from over 30 years ago, federal minimum wage
would be over 30 dollars an hour. I am not opposed to hard work, but
working hard for next to nothing in todays terms is an enormous issue
in todays work place environment that only benefits the largest
corporations. That is where I would like to see change the most. a The
FDA and EPA are both great examples of regulations that benefit
society. They protect the people and planet from harms associated
with business production, manufacturing, and agricultural biproducts,
typically in the from of carcinogenic or otherwise toxic chemicals that
get introduced into our food or in the land around us. I also believe
that improved regulation in this area would benefits the health of the
average US citizen as well.
