This course has significantly improved my understanding of business
law. I believe I now have a better understanding of it and will be able
to recognize certain potential legal issues if they arise. Because of
this course, I believe I will be able to make better decisions and
recognize when I need to seek legal advice. As I reflect on the course
material covered over the last eight weeks, I must admit that I had no
idea business law would cover so many issues. The ones about wills
and estate planning piqued my interest the most. I understand that
you don't have to be a certain age to start the process, but most
people wait far too long, if at all. When someone dies without a will,
all of the complications arise because you will have to deal with
probate court in addition to dealing with the loss of a loved one. I
know for me personally; I'm going to look into getting a living will. I
recently double-checked that all of my beneficiary information was
complete and correct. I think it's difficult to talk about or deal with
these type things because it's planning for when you won't be here
any longer.
