When I saw that I was taking business law II this quarter, I was not
looking forward to it. I took business law I at the beginning of last
year, and it was a bit of a struggle for me. Learning all of the
terminologies in business law and using them correctly in my
discussions and projects was a challenge. However, I will say that my
perceptions of business law have not changed because of my
previous business law class, but it has widened. For example, I did
not know there are three different chapters businesses can file for
when filing for bankruptcy. The milestone projects helped me better
understand business law concepts and why these laws are set in
place. The scenarios were fun to read and made us think deeper
about how I will help guide Fred and Sally in handling their business
and lawsuits. When I graduate with my bachelor's degree in business
administration, I would like to get a job working for a human
resource department. The information I have learned from this
course will help me think more critically about the decisions I make
for my company because I would certainly not want to get my
company into any legal trouble or commit fraud. Business law
provides stability for businesses and consumers, protects the public,
and offers the tools for businesses to settle disputes.
