3-2 Journal Food Production
Foraging was how early people obtained their food. Nevertheless, as the temperature and the
environment changed, it became more difficult to locate food. They wanted to change to improve
their diets in order to survive, so they did. They began to domesticate both plants and animals.
They stopped migrating and instead became immobile by settling in one place as a result of the
transition. Thus, the population increased in size. They discovered improved techniques for
farming and food production. They had evolved into hunters and gatherers. They fashioned tools
out of bone, braided grass, wood, and stone. When they started farming, their equipment also
evolved, making it easier for them to produce and store their food.
