1. What items on the balance sheet were affected by this fraud?
Snyder made unauthorized use of the company's credit card and wrote checks to herself and
other entities in her own name, all while forging the owner's signature on the checks. Snyder
had an impact on the balance sheet by applying these transactions to other businesses with
which the company did business, causing the profit to appear higher on the balance sheet. This
was done by applying the transactions to payables and cutting the checks in that manner, as well
as applying credit card payments to accounts payables.
