My ideal career would be a fashion designer and writer. I have always been interested
in these fields and passionate about them because they allow me to be creative and
analytical. I have also recently been looking into magazine editing as well which would
allow me to combine my interests. When exploring job postings that were related to
this career I noticed that there was knowledge and skills that were related to this
course such as attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, proficient
knowledge of excel and other computer software programs, and knowledge of
production and manufacturing. For example the job of a Fashion Production Assistant
involves responsibilities such as checking FOB/packaging costs, making revisions,
updating PO’s with shortages and prices, and updating factory allocation (LinkedIn,
2021). The key terms and experiences that I would list when applying would be my
college education in Fashion Merchandising & Management and English Language &
Literature, internship experience, and excel proficiency. I found this course to be
especially relevant for my future career since as a designer I would like to run my own
fashion label, which would require knowledge of many different fields including
marketing, business law, accounting, and more. I found module two to be extremely
helpful since we learned about job order and process costing systems and how to
record and report business costs. "

Going into business and working as an accountant manager are excellent choices. It’s
interesting how managerial accounting plays a role in many different career paths and
fields. I am planning on working in the fashion industry and there are many jobs that
require knowledge of this subject area such as fashion production assistants, accounts
payable coordinators, and apparel accounting managers."
Working as a licensed nursing home administrator and pursuing an MBA are great
choices that will utilize skills from managerial accounting. Planning and development
as well as organizational skills are all critical and can be applied to a variety of career
fields. Communication skills and record keeping as also important and will improve
business operations. "
