A personal decision I had to make was either keep my paid off car or
take on getting a new car and having to deal with payments. A reason I
had to decide that was I had just given birth to my son and he was born
during the winter months. My paid off car was not winter tire friendly
other than driving very carefully but I would feel better in a newer
winter AWD friendly car. Also it would be newer and longer lasting for
the both of us when it came to appointments and traveling. I had to take
the step and took on buying a new car for our safety and for something
longer lasting.
first I had to identify the problem, which really was keeping my paid off
car and having it breakdown sometime soon or having to deal with car
payments again with the new one but it would be longer lasting for my
family.
Next was obtaining information, which is basically trying to figure out
the best pricing within my budget and what type of payments I could
take on.
next was make predictions about the future. Which in my case was
what would I rather deal with repairs or just the regular maintenance on
a new one i
Next was make decisions by choosing among alternatives- of course I
chose a new car for the safety of my son and myself and not having to
deal with a huge repair fee with my old car
lastly implement the decision, evaluate performance, and learn i
Honestly I think in my part it was the best decision, now I have another
one on the way and want to upgrade once more but there’s time and no
need to rush.
I feel like both played a factor in my situation. Although I’m still paying
on it I don’t have to worry about something huge breaking down and
have had no issues for the past year of having it. The risk there always is
is if there’s a recall and mine turns out to be one of them but so far so
good.
