Healthy Ministry Perspective Assignment Essay

When speaking of student ministry, the most important thing to incorporate is the students or youth! Too
many times the youth are forgotten in the decision-making process, the planning and prepping process, and even
the ministry itself. Youth is what makes the student ministry. Secondly, we should find strong, God-lead
leadership spear heading the ministry and not just an adult who loves God and youth. This type of ministry (like
all) should be lead by someone, not just with the capabilities and experience, but a calling from God to pursue
leading this type of ministry. Next, the student ministry should have some type of youth leader within the
leadership team, so that the concerns of the youth are met and adequately assessed by one of their own. Lastly,
however this is not an exhaustive list, the student ministry should always be yielding to the voice and spirit of
God. Without this component, the ministry will be sure to fail and cause more disruption than goodness.
