Essay: Healthy Ministry Perspective
There are many different qualities that can make un a healthy student ministry.
Personally, I feel that a healthy student ministry is one that has a focus on Jesus. A ministry that
biblically disciples students into their calling that God has on their lives. I believe that having
students that represent Christ in their daily life and help lead other students to following Jesus.
Another quality would be a student ministry that has effective small groups. When groups get too
large the aspect of a small group disappears and students are less likely to communicate. Leaders
can be hard to come by these days but having quality is better than quantity. One of the most
important qualities is parent involvement. Discipleship happens everywhere and having heavy
parent involvement helps bridge the gap between church and home. Finally, students that get
involved with outreach. Students must learn to serve Christ and having a student outreach shows
them how to do that firsthand.
