Mission Statement:
We Glorify God by Making Disciples of All Nations
Five Core Values:
Scripture is prety clear as to what we are to do and who we are to be.
God’s Glory is our Direction
In order for us to glorify God, we must follow His direction. His word must be our truth
and we must live by His standards.
“We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please
ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For
even Christ did not please himself but, as it is writen: “The insults of those who insult
you have fallen on me.” For everything that was writen in the past was writen to teach
us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they
provide we might have hope. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement
give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with
one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:1-6 (NIV)
God is Love
Love is the greatest commandment and without it we can do nothing.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has
been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son
into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but
that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since
God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we
love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” 1 John 4:7-12
(NIV)
God’s Word is our Guide
We must read the Bible daily to learn and stay faithful to His word.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for
every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
Missional Community as our Method
Jesus did life with His disciples which tells us that we are to do the same.
“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were
added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and
to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at
the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together
and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone
who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They
broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God
and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those
who were being saved.” Acts 2:41-47 (NIV)
The Holy Spirit is our Power
We are not able to glorify God without the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, which is
why He is called The Helper.
“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh
desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They
are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you
are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual
immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy,
fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and
the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the
kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become
conceited, provoking and envying each other.” Galatians 5:16-26 (NIV)
