Biblical Worldview Essay
Introduction
To speak on a Biblical Worldview, one must first understand the word of the Bible. It is
so unique and applicable to everyday life. It is not something to take lightly and quickly forget.
Biblical Worldviews can be viewed differently and have different meaning depending on what an
individual believes. Everyone is entitled to what they believe and how that implement their
Biblical Worldview into their lives. May people may not believe in the word yet, may still have a
view of the world in a non-biblical sense. One should not be judgmental to another person’s
worldview. This is because as Christians we must be understanding and loving even if we do not
agree.
The Metanarrative of Scripture
The Bible tells an amazing yet unique and complex story. Starting with the beginning of
creation itself. God made such a beautiful work of art that we live in and are blessed to be living
here and we should appreciate it and give thanks to God for what he has given us. Scripture says
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void,
and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of
the waters.” (Genesis 1:1-31). With this in mind the Bible brings up sin and how it greatly affects
everything. We were created in sin there is no such thing as a perfect human. This brings up the
fall which is important to know and understand because it is something that we all have and
share daily. Romans 3:23 clarifies this but expounding on how we have all fallen short. This is
not the end however because after this there comes redemption of man, many people thing of this
as God giving humans a second chance. There is no greater felling than the feeling of having
another shot of getting it right. “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of

our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.” (Ephesians 1:7). God has given us the
ultimate gift of grace and forgiveness. This is something that we must value and cherish as we
continue to praise out God for his many blessing, he gives us. God revealing himself means
everything, by that is meant that if there was any doubt before there shouldn’t be because he has
proven in every way. This is a blessing that is expound upon in Mathew 5:8. There is still some
speculation and doubt but for those who truly believe know that this is true and must help,
educate and guide those who do not believe. It is important that believers do not take for granted
the word of God for it is the truth that we should try to live by no matter what. There is no
excuse as to why we fail to please God every day. Yes, we can say “Well we all sin, and God
knows that and forgives of so that makes that okay” this mindset and view is wrong. It is true
that we all sin but just because we do sin and his forgives us does not mean that we should strive
to continue to sin and create destructive habits in our lives.
Application to My Vocation/Job
Personally, I take the what the Bible says with a grain of salt. The reason I say this is
because not everything is going to be applicable to my everyday life. Yes, there are many
concepts that I truly take seriously because they are relevant and applicable to my daily life.
Starting back when I was younger there were biblical principles that were instilled in me for the
start. The first one was love thy neighbor, my mother told me these word every day because she
wanted me to know that no matter if I disagree with what someone says or even if I do not
necessarily like them I must love them as God loves us. The second one that I was taught was to
be slow to anger and quick to forgive, for example say someone steps on your shoe. Instead of

getting angry as many people would you should stay calm and forgive. Lastly, and possibly the
most important is to love God with all of your heart and to pray and glorify him every chance
you get. I had to understand that this life is not my own and that I must use each of these
principles that I was taught in every aspect of my life.
Conclusion
Overall, we all have our own thought and opinions of how we see the world and
understand the Bible. It is important to know that we do not own this life and that is it truly a
blessing from God we have to cherish. No matter what your Biblical worldview is or the
principles that you have been taught through your life we must show respect to everyone and
love them as God loves us.
