Since I was a kid I have been hearing about theology and the importance of this study to
understand the Scripture and defend it. However, I used to believe that only Pastors, deacons,
and leaders of the church needed to study theology, but after this course I completely changed
my view of theology. I truly believe that it is crucial for every Christian to study theology to be
able to understand what we believe and be able to defend it. After studying theology during the
past few weeks, I have been able to discover how everything connects and relies on each other.
First, I believe that is very important to understand who God is and to learn about the message
that He left us. Second, I also encountered crucial to learn about the trustworthiness of the Bible,
why is it the word of God, why this book is the most valuable on earth, and how does the reality
of the message affect us. Third, I found tremendously important to learn and study about the
Trinity, know who God is, who Jesus is, and who the Holy Spirit is, and the crucial roles that
they play in the story of Redemption and in our walk with the Lord. Theology now is part of my
life and I believe it to be a helpful tool to understand and carefully study the Bible.
It is very easy to know a lot of information and knowledge about God and the Bible, but
it is completely different to live according to those things. In my case, after learning about these
principles during the course, I was thinking about the areas in my life in which I don’t apply
them. I found out how we forget about the importance of God and His word very often, and how
we need to align the course of our lives to always look at the cross and the truth revealed in the
Bible. By living with this perspective, we will change the way we read the Bible and react to its
teachings, because the Bible truly is the Word of God and the message that He wanted us to
receive. Once we have Christ in our lives, the focus of our lives will become to glorify His name
and promote our beliefs and defend the gospel from irregularities that we can come across from
people that want to go against the principles that are clearly stated in the Bible. After this course,

I feel that my mindset changed towards the study of Scriptures and the priority of knowing God
in a deeper way through His word increased. I want to study more the Bible to know more about
God and the message that He intended me to receive.
