The test will be conducted using TopHat. There will be 50 Questions (28 Matching & 22 T & F)
Be able to define the terms: (mostly matching questions but some T & F)
Chap 1 - Know the Divisions of Theology (Angelology, Bibliology, Ecclesiology etc)
•Angelology – A study of angels. (comes from “angelos” meaning messenger)
•Anthropology – A study of man. (comes from “Anthropos” meaning man)
•Bibliology – A study of the Bible. (comes from “biblos” meaning book)
•Christology – A study of Christ. ( comes from “Christos”)
•Ecclesiology – A study of the church. (comes from “ecclesia” meaning assembly)
•Eschatology – A study of end times events. (comes from “eschatos” meaning last)
•Hamartiology – A study of sin (comes from “Hamartia” meaning to err, a fatal flaw, sin)
•Pneumatology – A study of the Holy Spirit . (comes from “pneuma” means spirit/breathe)
•Soteriology – A study of Salvation. (comes from “soteria” meaning Salvation)
•Theology Proper – A study of God. (comes from “theos” and “logos” meaning God
and expression/word)

Cosmological Argument
•Everything we know is cause by something else.
•God is the uncaused
cause Teleological Argument
•There is unobservable order or design in the world that cannot be attributed to the object itself
•The observable design argues for an intelligent being. (ILL – the Watchmaker and
Anthropic principle)
Anthropological Argument
•Sees some aspects of human beings as a revelation of God
•Each human being possessed a moral impulse or categorical
imperative Ontological Argument
•The pure-thought type of argument

General Revelation – God’s in a “general” or universal way reveals things about himself to
all persons at all times and in all
places
•All persons have some knowledge of God
•Truth is possible outside Special Revelation
•God is still just in condemning all humanity since none is completely without opportunity
•World religions phenomena exemplifies the point of General Revelation
•God’s creation and Christ’s Gospel are in harmony

•God has put truth in both the universe and the individual
Special Revelation – God’s in a “special” or particular way makes manifestations of himself
to particular persons at particular times

word “Canon” no further details required)
Chap 8 - Transcendence of God, Immanence of God
Be able to match/identify the following Bible verses: (Do not need to be memorized but understand

9. Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye
may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these,
having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
