Paisey,
Great Job on this week’s assignment. I do agree having a wider view of the gospel does help give
direction. As I said in my post, it also helps keep you focused, and help keep Christ at the center
of our lives. Like you mentioned, those of us who know and understand the implications of the
gospel tend to have a better relationship with God. We understand the importance of prayer for
more than when things need fixed. We understand the benefits of having God active in every
aspect of our lives. Knowing what God's laws and commands are helps us to live a life that
reflects the Holy Spirit. It allows us to effectively share his work and word with our community.
I agree that non-believers aren’t inherently evil and can be good people. However, I also
know that it is part of our duty to bring others to God. So, if the gospel is a mindset, we
should share that perspective with other to bring them to the lord. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us “Do
your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be
ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (NIV). I love this verse as it is a reminder that
we are in fact a worker for God!
Again, good job this week!
