I liked the post and how you handled the issue at the level of sin and aligned it with worldly
temptations. I agree that when we give our hearts to God and lay them at his feet, we think twice
before acting. As humans, we make many mistakes to achieve our goals, but we may not
consider the consequences of what God wants for us. For example, when we compete with
another person, we commit to dressing better, changing our character, and even changing our
appearance. God dislikes people with these attitudes in an envious and rival way. The Scripture
is given to us in Philippians 1:15 “The former preaches Christ out of selfish ambition, not with
sincerity, thinking that they can cause me trouble while I am in prison” (NIV). When we ask God
for more than we have and deserve, we are breaking his commandments and, at the same time,
overwhelm us. It also prevents us from living a healthy life. Envy makes us sick and takes us
away from God. It is good to ask God to take us away from that lousy living of our lives. He will
keep us away and forgive our sin if we repent from the heart.

I liked how you said in your post "use the biblical worldview as a road map to life" to live a life
not necessarily perfect, but try to live according to the biblical worldview; we would not rely on
our wishes. God is the only one who must decide what he wants for us, he knows our needs and
when he wants things to happen. We often care so much about achieving or obtaining something
that we go to great lengths to receive it. We even judge God, saying, "If God is so good, why
doesn't he let us achieve our dreams?" Life is not about thinking or living with discomfort
because things don't come when we want them to. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "God's timing is
perfect" (NIV). When things don't go our way, God has something better for us. All we have to
do is believe and not force things because we don't know what it's getting rid of. My mother
always told me that when one door closes, another better one opens. When we get things
quickly, they seldom last or we regret getting them. I completely agree that it is preferable to ask
God to direct our paths and plans so that everything is in his will and not ours. Commend our
wishes to him; it will never forget us, but we must ask from the bottom of our hearts, not from
the top of our lists.
