BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW ESSAY
Introduction
When examining the Scriptures and the world around us, it is clear that God is actively
involved with His creation and that it is crucial to the Christian faith to understand how God’s
creation is a constant reminder of his goodness and glory. When I graduate from Liberty
University, I plan on working with victims of human trafficking and child exploitation. As I
work with these hurt and broken people, it is essential that I understand how God is actively
working in their lives and the world around them. If I have a good Biblical understanding of this,
I can show these individuals that their life has a bigger purpose for the glory of God and that he
is actively involved in their lives everyday working around and through them.
Body
God didn’t have to create the earth and everything that inhabits it but he willingly and
deliberately chose to. God willed for it to be so he intricately created us and the world we live in
order to fulfill his will and bring him ultimate glory. By doing this God gave the world order and
purpose. This also displays God’s ultimate power and authority as he created the world out of
nothing and everything he made was perfect. Out of nothing God can immediately bring into
existence science and natural laws that completely abide to his will. Despite what atheists and
other religions claim, the world is too detailed and perfectly crafted to have been made by
random chance. The Bible is clear about how the world was created and attests to his sole and
omnipotent role in creations process. Genesis 1:1 states it clearly that “In the beginning God
created the heavens and the earth.” The doctrine of this belief must be clearly and theologically
explained.

Just as God is actively involved in creation and nature, he is actively and personally
involved with my life everyday, every second God is orchestrating the world around me for his
plan to unfold according to his will. As my job falls into the social worker category, I will be in
constant contact and involvement with people. Everyday, as I interact with people in my chosen
vocation I can portray the love and power of Christ that I see in my world and translate it to and
it was good in his sight. Each part has its place, which is just what God intended for it to have.”
(Erickson, 2001) As I work with the victims of human trafficking and child exploitation is is
essential that I preach this idea to them day in and day out. After enduring such tragedy, they
need to know that they are still good in God’s sight and that they have value. Their life has a
meaning and purpose from God to bring him ultimate glory. As a Christian social worker, I will
be able to be a light in the life of others.
God did not abandon his creation, in in the same way, I must not abandon the people
around me who desperately need his help. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God works for
the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” It is so
important for these victims to comprehend how actively God is involved in their lives and in the
creation around them so they know their inherent value and can share that idea with those around
them as well. As stated in the Romans passage above, God also works for the good of those who
love him. So even after all that these hurt and broken people have been through God is still
actively and divinely involved with every aspect of their lives. God has sent his son to redeem
them and all creation through his death on the cross their life has purpose and value beyond
anything they can even understand. Although sometimes it seems unfathomable, God’s love is
real and true despite the past of any individual. No sin committed can separate us from that love
and redemption in Jesus Christ. And for those who are victims of human trafficking and

exploitation it is vital that I emphasize that nothing done against them can make them too dirty
for God’s redemption. Jesus’s death on the cross and God’s glorious intervention in our lives
ultimately proclaims his glory throughout our lives and all of his creation.
Conclusion
God is intimately involved in in his creation and has been throughout all time and
history. History and science screams of a God who is creative and uniquely involved in all that
he has created. When we work in our profession, and in my case social work or for a non-profit
organization that helps those who have escaped a horrific life of exploitation and trafficking, we
must preach the gospel to ourselves daily and also to those around us. It is vital that we stay
close to the Lord and look deep into his Word each day to get an even better understanding of
how much God loves his creation and how all of creation cries out to His glory. Even if we failed
to recognize God’s glory in creation, the Bible says the rocks would cry out and proclaim his
name. Luke 19:40, says “I tell you, he replied, ‘if they keep quiet the stones will cry out.’” May
we never forget God’s divine involvement in our lives and preach it to everyone we meet day in
and day out.
