Theology 104
12/16/2023
My view of theology has changed in a few different ways over the past few weeks because of
being in this class. It is all in very good ways and I am extremely proud of myself now for taking
this course. I have always struggled in my life with certain things and the way I thought about
them or wondered if they were really true. However, this class gave me answers to those
questions and more, some of the answers I got were to questions that I didn’t even know I had. It
now seems like I have more of a sense of peace when it comes to the Bible and scriptures
because I seem to understand certain parts of it more than I did before. So this class has been
very educational and helpful with me in my everyday life as well as how I will live and look at
things in the future as well.
I can also say that I have been able to apply things that I have learned while in this class to
my everyday life more often than I even realized. I have caught myself using scriptures when
trying to tell or explain things to others, because there are so many scriptures that can help one
understand the things they are going thru in their lives today. I have also realized how much I
talk about the Lord and the things he has done and is still doing for us on a daily basis. I now
have others where they pay attention and are able to see his work and the things he is doing for
them in their lives daily. There are times though where I have to stop and remind myself and/or
others what was said in Hebrew 13:5, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content
with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
The other day I caught myself having a conversation with a total stranger and was telling
them how great our God is and what all he has done and still does for us all. I like to remind
people of Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it
will be opened to you.”
I notice that I pass on information that I have gained from this class to any and every one that
needs or wants to hear it. There are times that I know that I tell someone something because the
Lord wants them to hear it at that time, because whatever it is will just come to me at that
moment and it’s like I have to get it out. One thing I do love seeing is someone gaining
knowledge and actually taking it in so they can use it to make their life and the ones around them
lives better also. Things like that make my heart happy and reassures me there is still hope for
this world. If we remember back to what Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light
shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in
heaven.”
Giving thanks and praising the Lord is something that we can never do too much of in our
lives. I will always help anyone I can find their way to the Lord and help them acknowledge him
and the things he does in their lives, because then I know once they believe they will get others
to believe also. All it takes is for one person to help another see and believe, and once they do
they will never question if he’s real ever again. Another favorite of mine is Psalm 105:1-2, “ Oh
give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to
him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!”
