CHRISTIAN APPLICATION ABSTRACT AND REFERENCES
Abstract
Media outlets are our main source of digital communication as consumers. There are a
multitude of different kinds of media that contain informative topics. This essay will provide an
examination of podcasts. Audio media is now readily accessible, and this is not only limited to
music. Podcasts are a media type that especially appeal to the younger generations, as a platform
where creators can share advice, tell stories, or publish news. This is not just an entertainment
source, but podcasts can now be used as educational and informative sources in our media.
Podcasts can be played on our phones while we drive, cook, or walk. They are one of the most
convenient forms of entertainment. Podcasts are a growing area of media, and they have gained
immense growth from accessibility, low costs to produce, as well as who produces and makes
them. Christians would be able to utilize this method of media to branch out and break out of the
traditional ideas of evangelism. Sermons could be recorded and published, and topics can be
discussed over these podcasts that display a different side to religion. This has this potential to
open more connections with the younger generations and connect them to the Word of God.
Keywords: podcast, evangelism, media, entertainment
