Thank you for your post this week. I enjoyed reading what you had to say and felt that
you offered several great thoughts about character traits of a leader/teacher. I liked how
your opened your discussion with pointing people to the character of God and your
statement about spending our lives trying to be more like him (God) really lends itself to
the process of sanctification or the process of becoming more like Christ. I would also
agree that Christ-like love is foundational leadership characteristic and from it other
qualities will present themselves. I believe this is why Paul begins with love when he is
listing the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23)[1], from love, everything else is produced, but
without love, nothing is gained (1 Cor 13:1-3a).
