Instructions: In this written assignment, the student will demonstrate an understanding of the
components/basis of a “Biblical Worldview”. In addition, the student will be required to demonstrate
critical thinking, by addressing one of the contemporary issues that will be covered in this class:
Abortion, Euthanasia, Gender Identity, Homosexuality, Heterosexual issues, Racism, or Poverty

1. Part One : (150-200 words). What is a biblical worldview?
Articulate the basic biblical worldview components (what is believed) connected with support (why it
is believed). $Answer the question to the best of your ability and integrate class content as you frame
your discussion.
The student should include a minimum of 4 Scriptural references.

2. Part Two : (150-200 words) (Give a creative heading here!)
Introduce the contemporary issue of your choice. Define the opposing views related to this
contemporary issue (You must indicate where views oppose each other and how they differ in
conclusion, Example: Abortion- Pro-life verses pro-choice)
Include at least 2 in-text citations (APA, MLA, or Turabian) from two (2) academic sources
(Not Wikipedia or blogs etc.) different from Part III. In addition, the sources are to be
outside of the materials presented in class (such as class lecture notes and reading
assignments). A full bibliographical reference for the sources must be included in a
Reference/Bibliography/Works Cited at the end of the paper.

Demonstrate critical thinking by “comparing and contrasting” your chosen contemporary issue by
viewing it through the “lens” of a Biblical worldview.$
Address the topic of morality based on Scripture, being sure to give support to the view
by including at least 4 references from the Bible . (You should not quote long passages)
Include at least 2 in-text citations (APA, MLA, or Turabian) from two (2) academic
sources (Not Wikipedia or blogs etc.) different from Part III. In addition, the sources are
to be outside of the materials presented in class (such as class lecture notes and reading
assignments). A full bibliographical reference for the sources must be included in a
Reference/Bibliography/Works Cited at the end of the paper.
