You must have had awesome experiences growing up with your family
and being on a “daily faith journey”. I applaud your desire to minister for
mental health wellness related to suicide prevention. I feel I was fortunate
at the counseling sites I worked with. Ironically, I did not feel any tension
between the Biblical and Psychological view when I serviced youth who
unfortunately presented with suicidal ideation. I agree with you that the
gospel shares the truth of hope in narrative after narrative. That is why I
combined Psychological Intervention with my Biblical view before I knew
"it was a topic". The University clinic allowed me to mention Biblical views
with individuals that checked religious beliefs on their intake. Also, my
Counseling Supervisor used Christian curriculum and the Director stated
the Boys and Girls club was established on Biblical values.
Weekly I educated with Christian Curriculum and shared “child – version”
