I enjoyed your conclusion from the videos. I agree with your statement on
integration and how it may not always be possible, but we should pursue
it. I thought it was interesting in McMinn's video where he gave step by
step examples of how science will take virtues and remove religion out of
it. When science teaches these virtues without religion, it can make sense,
but leave important parts out, like why we forgive. Science will give the
step by step approach, but leave out the fundamentals of why we do what
we do. Since science "progresses not through the accumulation of bare
facts, but through refinement of theories and theory-laden facts, which
are themselves embedded in broader conceptual webs. (Johnson et al,
2010, p. 114)"

For Christians strong in the word, they can decipher that and understand
the bible more clearly when science breaks it down, but must be careful in
pulling the right science to reflect what God is saying.
