To the esteemed future Dr your post was skillfully adept. Thanks for your
articulation of the two videos that were presented for our assignment.
Both videos were quite interesting to me and presented unique
perspectives. Of course, I identify with, and my Christian values greatly
align more with Dr. McMinn. His theory on Positive psychology from a
Biblical perspective clearly demonstrates truth from God's Holy Word. I
feel as though Dr McMinn carefully intertwines main-stream Psychology
and carefully crafts in God's Holy Word. Dr Worthington is certainly not all
incorrect in his description on forgiveness. Where he lacks clarity on the
subject however, is that God alone can provide true and total forgiveness
when one has wronged us because we are reaching towards a higher
calling. Scripture to substantiate this is "Brethren, I count not myself to
have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which
are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press
toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus"
(Philippians 3: 13-14, KJV).
