The viewpoint of psychology that has been selected is the
transformational psychology view, and the area of research that has been
identified revolves around workplace bullying and toxic leadership. The
main reason for choosing the transformational psychology view is that it
focuses on the act of faith by emphasizing Jesus Christ. It also takes into
consideration human experiences, feelings, and behavior. Thus, it helps to
get a comprehensive insight into a subject matter and bring about a
transition in individuals by focusing on the act of love.
Transformational psychology relies on the faith as well as the spiritual
formation of an individual. One of the main highlights of the view is that it
is open to dialogue with unbelievers. Thus, in the case of the specific
research area, the transformational psychological view will help to
establish a form of connection with individuals such as bullies and toxic
leaders so that the reason for their actions can be identified (Johnson &
Jones, 2000). By getting a clear insight into their behavior, there would be
an opportunity to use the holy book of the Bible to help them move on the
righteous path that has been set by Jesus Christ. As the viewpoint is based
on the word of Jesus Christ, it will be possible to encourage people to get
close to Christ by focusing on good actions and righteous behavior.
The presentation that has been prepared is of high relevance in
contemporary times. This is because it focuses on some of the most
practical and serious issues that exist in the prevailing organizational
setting. One of the major issues that have been identified relates to
workplace bullying. Bullies could target individuals who they think are
vulnerable or different. In order to address the problems at the root level,
it is necessary to integrate psychology and Christianity with one another
(Johnson & Jones, 2000). By fusing these two disciplines together, it will be
possible to understand the psychological dimensions of bullies as well as
the individuals who are being targeted. Additionally, the principles that
have been highlighted in the Bible can be used to transform individuals so
that they can adopt positive behavior and contribute to positively
influence the workplace environment. By adopting the transformational
psychological view in the contemporary organizational setting, it is
possible to create and nurture a healthy, positive, and fulfilling ambiance
where individuals will be encouraged to follow the righteous and honest
path while performing their duties.
