Abstract
This paper explores the dynamic interplay between Christianity and psychology in the realms of
healing and counseling, shedding light on how these domains intersect to provide holistic and
spiritually grounded approaches to mental and emotional well-being. It examines the historical
evolution of Christian counseling and introduces key concepts and theories that underpin the
integration of faith and psychology, with a particular focus on the notions of grace, inner healing,
and multi-modal therapy models.

The role of Christianity within psychology has been debated for years, prompting
comparisons to the age-old conundrum of which came first, the chicken or the egg. Some argue
that the principles of psychology can be traced back to Christianity, suggesting that the two have
been integrated at some level from their inception (Entwistle, 2015). This debate gains intensity
